1 c tomatoes — peeled and : chopped 1 c field corn — cooked 2 c okra — sliced 2 c water or stock : Salt and pepper : Chiles 1 sl bacon : Juice of 1 lemon Okra is a very common thickening agent for African soups and vegetable dishes.
